Rewind Festival 2016

Big Country

Internationally-renowned Scottish rockers Big Country will return to the festival this year at Rewind Scotland. Formed in Dunfermline, Fife in 1981, they enjoyed huge success in the 80s thanks to their unique brand of rock music and such massive hits as “In a Big Country” "Chance" and “Fields of Fire (400 Miles)” taken from their multi-platinum album 'The Crossing" produced by the legendary Steve Lillywhite. Their biggest single came with ‘Look Away’, Number 7 UK hit from ‘The Seer’ album. Sadly band founder member Stuart Adamson passed away in 2001. The band reformed in 2011 with a new line-up fronted by The Alarm’s Mike Peters and original members Bruce Watson, Tony Butler, Mark Brzezicki and Bruce’s son Jamie Watson. Peters has now returned to The Alarm and Big Country now includes singer Simon Hough and bassist Scott Whitley alongside Jamie and founder members Bruce and Mark.
