Formed in 1982 as teenagers they came to the attention of The Specials’ Terry Hall, whose band Fun Boy Three they later collaborated with on the hit “Ain’t What You Do”. They went on to take the world by storm, with solo hits including “Cruel Summer”, “I Heard a Rumour”, “Robert De Niro’s Waiting”, “Love In The First Degree” and” Venus” - their first US no. 1. Today they still hold the record for the world’s most successful girl band with over 30 UK Top 40 hits and 40 million record sales.
